How should you brush your dog's teeth? Well it's easy as 1 2 3 all you need it the right tools, and here are some of them.

You will need one or more of these products dog toothpast, NOT HUMAN toothpast. Either a dog toothbrush, finger toothbrush (nubby surfaced rubber cap is the other name, for the finger brush) or you can buy tooth wipes. Now you should start to clean your dog teeth when they are a puppy and you must remember that this is new for your dog/puppy, so be patent and start of slowly. Once you have decided weather you are using a toothbrush, finger brush or wipe, sit in front of your dog/puppy show them what you are holding and let them smell it ,even bite it a little at first.

At the same time touch and lift up your dog's lip so they get use to this, make sure each time they let you do this, prasies them and you can even give them a treat. Once they are use to you putting the toothbrush in their mouth as well as touching and lifting their lip, the next step is putting some dog toothpast on the brush, and you can get diffrant flaviors too. Once your dog is at the stage where he is happy you can start brushing in a circular motion just like you do when you brush your own teeth. You will need to brush where the tooth meets the gums too and make sure you get to the back teeth as well. Most of the problems happen with the back teeth. Once you have done the top then start on the bottom teeth and repeat. Make sure you check your dogs teeth as part of his grooming and if you look after them well they should look like this, nice a white.

Remember its better to look after their teeth now than having to pay for dental work later, If you leave your dogs teeth and they get like this, your dog insurance dose not cover dental problems.
